Artwork

Painting something other than a portrait is new to me. I started working on the farm scene below in 2010, but got side-tracked by several portraits that needed to be done before I could finish it. The kayak is based on a photo of my son, and the pastel flower was just something I decided to do one day while sitting in my backyard. No matter what the subject is, I think the process of creating something is what compels most people to do artwork, and the satisfaction comes not from the "accuracy" of the finished work, but the feelings engendered by the process.
